iPhone Losing Market Share

iPhone Losing Market Share ? really, it is hard to believe by Iphone fans but it is true that IPhone is losing its market share rapidly and its competitor like Huawei, Samsung and Xiaomi are gaining its market. There are lots of reasons of this lost market share, Today we will find out its reasons.

iPhones are expensive : iPhones are very much expensive as compare to all android phones, which got similar features and technology. However iPhones  fans really dont see the price and only care about brand. But brand is not very much successful in gaining new customers. Brands like Huawei, Samsung and Xiaomi continuously increasing new customers and dominating mass market like India, where cost really matters.

Just because of brand, customer are not very comfortable to spend 77000Rs on iPhoneX while they can have much better option with Huawei p20 with much lower price.

In India first half of 2018 approx 60 million smartphones were shipped out of that number only 1 million iPhones shipped in India. while Samsung shipped 17.4 million while Xiaomi shipped 19 million smartphones to India in the same time period.

iPhone Manufacturing : It is worldwide known facts that Apple does not manufacture iPhone by itself rather Apple uses manufacturers from around the world to deliver individual parts. The manufacturers specialize in particular items—camera specialists manufacture the lens and camera assembly, screen specialists build the display, and so on.

After manufacturing all main components Apple do assemble all parts and perform the quality tests, so actually it is sending the message that iPhone is doing nothing, manufacturer making all components and iPhone only putting its brand and making the product costly.

Foxconn is Apple’s longest running partner in building these devices. It currently assembles the majority of Apple’s iPhones in its Shenzen, China, location, although Foxconn maintains factories in countries across the world, including Thailand, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Singapore, and the Philippines.

iPhone Lack Innovation: iPhone is regularly launching new models of iPhone but it is lacking with new innovation. Users who wants to use dual sim or required more memory iPhone is total gone case. There is nothing new in newly launched models that was not in old models. Nothing in the iPhone was something which hadn’t been seen before, it’s often seen as the flag bearer for the devices we have in our pockets, and maybe it was: Apple showed that marketing was more important than technology.

Other Reasons: The downfall in iPhone market share got some more reasons as well, specially in India. Indian government increased the import duty to boost to its ‘Make in India’ campaign. The report suggests that out of the total number of smartphones sold in India in the January-March quarter, 96 per cent were manufactured in India itself. This places Apple in the back seat as most of its iPhones are still imported.

Other factors that the report identifies as hurdles for Apple in India are the lack of dual-sim feature and non-availability of the option to expand phone storage, features which the Indian audience really values.
