Facebook Security Breach recently notified by Facebook to all its users, informing that their view as feature had been compromised, To counter the this security breach Facebook deactivated the view as feature. This Facebook Security Breach affected 50 billion people, this breach happened three days earlier on 25th September.

Facebook is well known world largest social media platform which has 2.23 billion monthly users, is already accused for leaking user’s data for political improper usage. In this same case Cambridge Analytica is accused to misuse Facebook user’s data for Indian political parties and others.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s founder and chief executive, said the latest breach was a “serious issue” and the company was taking steps to address it.

Facebook informed in its press release that all account that got impacted by this breach, All such accounts logged out on 25th September. Same time Facebook notify all such accounts displaying message above their news feed.

It is also important to note that all who logged out forcibly, not necessarily breached. Because Facebook logged out everyone who were using “View As” feature since the vulnerability was introduced as a “precautionary measure”. The social network says this will require another 40 million people or more to log back into their accounts, adding: “We do not currently have any evidence that suggests these accounts have been compromised.”

What Users Need To Do:

After this Facebook Security Breach, Facebook suggested all it’s users to change the password, though it is not mandatory. If you are using Facebook account to login other websites or apps then you need to see your authorization is not being misused. Any user who found that his account is compromised then you can enable two-factor authentication, which again can be found in Facebook settings.

Facebook informed all through it’s press release that there is nothing to worry cause they assured all it’s users to keep safety of their individual account by various security options available on Facebook. However Facebook temporarily turned off the ‘View As’ feature while it conducts a “thorough security review”. It is now informed that user’s personal data have been compromised that include credit card or some other critical information saved by users on Facebook.

It will become worst if this kind of information leaked out, however Facebook ensure it’s users to keep safe all critical information like credit card details etc. Mark Zuckerberg said Facebook has taken steps to patch the security flaw to prevent this attacker – or any other attacker – from being able to steal such critical information.
